40 Pages!
I started writing Blistworld sometime back in the spring, maybe around March. Since then, I’ve written sixty-one pages. That’s it. And the more I think about it, the more I want to get this story finished as soon as possible! I sit at work, engraving saxophones, and think about how great it would be to get published. I felt the same way when I was trying to get into the board game scene. When it happens, I probably run down the street jumping up and down, laughing and yelling.
So, to make sure that happens sooner rather than later, I’m making a forty page goal tonight. Here is the rule: I cannot hit the pillow until the page count is at one-hundred. It sounds crazy, and is quite a cliff to scale in one night, but sometimes you’ve got to do crazy things. If anything, it makes for a good story when you tell people about it later. I’ve got my Mexico cokes and pepsi at hand (much better than American coke, you should try it), and hopefully it holds me out to the end. Wish me luck!
